My yard-waste date is different from what the City's site shows
The app uses the City's own published calendar for your address for roughly the next six months, so the dates you see for that window are the City's, holiday shifts included. Beyond that window, dates are projected from your published collection weekday and could be off by a day around a statutory holiday. If a date inside the City's window does not match, please email the address and the date you expected — that is a bug and it will be fixed.
Reminders are not arriving
Two things have to be on. First, notifications for the app in your phone's settings: on iPhone, Settings → Notifications → Waste & Snow; on Android, long-press the app icon → App info → Notifications. Second, the reminder switches inside the app under Settings → Reminders. Reminders are scheduled on the phone when the app opens, so open it once after changing anything.
The plow zone looks wrong
The zone comes straight from the City's snow-clearing dataset for your address. Zone letters repeat across the city — there is a zone "V" in the east, the north and the south — so the app identifies your zone by the City's zone id, not the letter, and highlights that exact area on the map. If the City's dataset has your address in the wrong zone, the app will too; you can report that to 311.
How do I change my address?
Tap the settings icon at the top right, then Change next to the address. Reminders are rebuilt for the new address automatically.
Does the app track me?
No. There is no account and no advertising. It keeps anonymous usage counts that you can turn off in settings. The full details are in the privacy policy.
